About Us
Over our 90-year history, we’ve grown our operations exponentially. We now manufacture in plants across Europe, Asia and the Americas and operate all over the world.
We’re relentless in our approach to excellence, always improving our products and the way we work. Wherever we operate, we show the same care for our customers, our staff and the wider society and environment we’re all a part of, constantly asking ourselves ‘What’s next?’.
We’re proud of our global reach, and we’re embedded in industries all around the world with the specialist products we manufacture.
From fresh food and comfortable temperatures in office buildings to data centre solutions and energy production, Güntner touches the lives of millions.
Founded in 1931 in Munich as a refrigeration equipment manufacturer, our rise to being known as global experts in commercial cooling and processing is a result of our constant drive to evolve.

A BETTER WORLD
We believe in the power of natural refrigerants and their potential to create a better world through safe and sustainable use.
Solutions such as carbon dioxide, ammonia, hydrocarbons, air, and water offer viable alternatives to synthetic refrigerants, which produce significant greenhouse gas emissions and are a risk to people and the environment.
For almost a century, natural refrigerants have been part of our business, and we have played a key role in spreading awareness of their benefits. We continue to test and explore their use in a state-of-the-art lab, and we strive to ensure that all our partners have the option to use them.
Research and development has always been a driving force at Güntner. Across our state-of-the-art testing laboratories, we have international teams that are dedicated to designing the future of heat exchange and cooling systems.
We believe innovation thrives on diverse multidisciplinary thinking and are encouraging the collaboration with external partners, experts and universities.
