CHILLVENTA 2022

A space for exchanging ideas, knowledge and expertise

This year’s Chillventa is a long-awaited opportunity for us all to meet again and share some exciting conversations. That’s why at Güntner we’ve created an inviting space for discourse: together with Francis Kéré, the internationally renowned Burkinabè architect and the 2022 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, we’re bringing the extraordinary Tugunora installation to our booth.

Tugunora is a blend-word formed from the ancient Greek term agora, a public space for assembly and discussion, and the Burkinabè word tuguna, the traditional gathering space in small West African communities, where the elders come together to confer regarding important local matters. It’s where we hope that questions will be answered and big ideas will be inspired.

INSPIRING BIG IDEAS WITH INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS

We’re excited to be offering a platform for a broad range of conversations that we hope will inspire some big new ideas. Our panel discussions with experts from around the world will tackle three key topics: ‘Creating Liveable Cities’, ‘Choosing Natural Refrigerants’ and ‘Driving Digital Change’.

Join us at our booth 7-150 or follow the panel discussions online through our livestream.

11 OCTOBER 2022, 12 PM UTC (7H CDT, USA-Illinois)

Creating liveable cities.

Today some 56 % of the world’s population live in cities. In Europe, the proportion is already at 75 %, and is expected to increase to almost 84 % by 2050. The speed and scale of urbanisation bring challenges amid global concerns over energy and water consumption, and the push to transition to a circular economy. It’s time to engage all urban stakeholders and collectively take action to find a holistic approach to creating more sustainable and liveable cities.

CHOSING NATURAL REFRIGERANTS.

In the refrigeration industry, the use of refrigerants is imperative - that's a fact. But it is not necessary to use refrigerants made from harmful substances when there are alternatives. Natural refrigerants - including carbon dioxide, ammonia and hydrocarbons - have no or almost no global warming potential (GWP), no ozone depletion potential (ODP), and do not harm the environment in other ways. That's why these refrigerants are the foundation for sustainable heating and cooling systems of the future and the rapid transition to natural refrigerants is both urgent and vital.
